A Stitcher's Finish

Hi, I recently received a photo of a
finish done by Lisa.
She stitched up Happy 4th
for a patriotic exchange she was
taking part in.
This was what she made for her
exchange partner.
It's stitched on 32ct vintage sand dune
and filled with crushed walnut shells.
How sweet!  I'm sure her
partner was thrilled.

Been busy with lots of stitching
and designing.  My next release
is a Folksy Ditty Bag
and it's just about ready to go.
Hope to show it to you tomorrow!
Happy Stitching.

Trunk Show News!

That's right!
I'm having a trunk show.
Lederach, PA will be
hosting it's annual Christmas
in July, along with the trunk show.
The Threadwork Primitives
 models will be on display
from today, July 24th through
Sat. August 4th.
This will be my very first trunk show
and I'm  quite excited.
I hope if you are in the area
you'll stop in to visit.
There is nothing quite like seeing
 the models first-hand to
get some real inspiration.
 Happy Stitching!

A Stitcher's (and Friend's) Finish

Happy Saturday to you all.
~*~
There is a beautiful finish that
I'd love to share with you.
It's from my friend and email
buddy, Susan of Olde Threads.
Susan is one of the most talented
stitchers I know and I always love
everything she does.
Here is her finish of one of
my new designs called
Grey House.
 She's stitched this on osnaburg
and made it into a little pillow.  I just
love how prim it turned out.
As always Susan, it is
wonderful.
Thank you so much for sharing.
~*~
Wishing you all a terrific weekend
and thanks for stopping by to visit!

My New Banner

Hi, Just had to show you the new
banner I got from my good friend
Ivonne of The Crackling Crows.
I am still in patriotic mode and
just not ready to take down
any of the red, white and blue
decor.
I asked her to make me one
of her wonderful
"AMERICA" banners.
It just arrived in this mornings
mail and I hung it right up and
took some pics.

This is one of the
places I love to display the
banners I have from her and I have
many.  It's in our entry way and the
hooks make it easy to change them
with the seasons.

The picture below is from Ivonne's
blog.  Look how sweet even the
backs are with the patriotic scrap
paper.  I just love the little details
she adds.

I'll be stitching away this weekend.
Always working on some new idea
that has popped into my head.
Once it comes to life, I'll be sure
to give you a peek.
Happy weekend!

More of What I've Been Up To

Yep, that's right, more stitching.
Just finished this up this morning.
This is a custom order for a
wonderful customer of mine and
I sure hope she likes it.

This is a Primitive Betty's design
that she offered as a freebie awhile ago
and it's one of my favorites to stitch.
This is done on 32ct R&R Irish Cream
linen using Belle Soie Chocolat silk thread.
Silk is so wonderful to stitch with.  It just
glides.
Hopefully I'll have more to show you
soon as I am working on something new.
Have a great night!
~Nan

Update....
Here's another pic with the matching
acorn I made for her.  It was a surprise so
I didn't want to show it in the orig. post.

She loves it and that makes me
very happy!

What I've been up to ~ Warning, Picture Heavy

Hi Everyone.  I hope you
are enjoying this very hot Sunday.
Just thought I'd show you some
of what I've been up to lately.

Had a little stitching time for
myself.  I'm still in a patriotic
mood, so I decided to stitch up
and finish this Americana
ditty bag.  The house is still
decorated for the 4th, so I hung it
right up.
* * * * * *
Thought I'd also show you some pics
of the garden.  I spent a few weekends
earlier in the summer planting and the
garden is starting to show off.
I cut some of the hydrangea blooms,
since there were so many and put them
in my antique sap bucket.  It's
painted the sweetest robin's egg blue.
* * * * *
I do hope you enjoyed your visit and
thank you so much for stopping by.
Smiles,
~Nan

New Release ~ A Bit of a Redux

I have wanted to update my
Centennial Wreath Chart for awhile now
and decided it was time for a redux on it.
It now has that sampler feel to it that I
love, with alphabets and numbers.
I've changed the colors a bit too
from the original red to a denim blue.
Don't you just love blue and brown
together?
So without further ado, here is
"Centennial Sampler"
Stitched on 32ct R&R Ligonier Latte linen
using WDW and GA flosses.
The stitch count is 125 x158.
* * * *
I thought it was a good time to offer the new
 version since yesterday was the
Country's birthday.
I hope you like the revisions.
This sampler has now become one
of my favorites.
It's available in my Etsy Shop
or you may email me at

Enjoy your day!
Happy Stitching too!

A New Addition

Hi all !
It's probably not what you're thinking :D

I have a new sign to add to my collection.
My dear friend and TDIPT sister, Pam
of GoldieLoo Woodworks
has done it again.
She has hand made this wonderful
sign for me.
I love it so much and it is so perfectly
primitive.
 She also makes fabulous gameboards,
of which I have a few of those too.
So, check out her blog and her
Etsy Shop if you get a chance.
* ~ *~ *
I have a new pattern that I will be
releasing this week.  It's actually
a redux on my Centennial
Wreath Design.  I've turned it
into a sampler, changed the
colors a bit and framed it.
I really love how it looks now
and can't wait to show you.
* * * *
Until then, enjoy your day
and as my blog friend Julie
has reminded us today...
May all of us remember to take that much
needed REST,
Between TWO DEEP BREATHS!!
That's my plan for the rest of
today!
Happy Stitching!
~Nan
