So I was supposed to be stitching with a bunch of friends down in Maryland today, but we all thought it best not to travel in the snow. I stitched this morning anyway......My hubby said, instead of a Stitch A Long, I was having a Stitch A Lone.....he is so darn cute. Working on my Lucky Freebie and have a sweet finish planned. All my freebies can be found in the freebie patterns tab under my header photo:)
I hope you are all having a good day and are staying safe and warm.
Happy Stitching, ~Nan

A Stitcher's Finish
Happy Sunday All!
Things are very busy around the Lewis residence and like most of you, we are trying very hard to decorate, shop and make preparations for Christmas. It seems like Christmas has come very quickly this year.
I did want take some time this morning and show you another stitcher's finish.
Vonna sent me this picture of an ornament she just finished using one of my freebies.
It is part of her 25 Days of Christmas with the Twisted Stitcher. Here is a link to her blog where you can see more of her beautiful finishes.......thetwistedstitcher.blogspot.com
She stitched this on 28 ct. Lambswool using the suggested DMC floss.
She added little evergreen boughs with berries and pinecones and even attached a cute little tag.
So sweet and such a wonderful and different finish. Love it. Thanks so much Vonna for sharing it with us.
Well, I hope you all have a wonderful week and that we all get lots done. I hope to be back soon to show you a few things I've made for the holidays. I have such fun creating!
Happy Stitching my friends.

♥ A BIG THANK YOU ♥
I want to thank you all
for your outpouring of well wishes.
I truly appreciate all your
comments and the personal
emails I've received.
I've had a lot of time to think
over the last month. Maybe too
much time : )
During that time, I knew
I wanted to let all of you know
how you ALWAYS make me feel.
I created this design and hope
that it will inspire you to stitch
and share it with someone who
makes you feel this way too!
I've left the bottom right space blank
so that you could add something
special to it. Maybe some
old crochet lace or some buttons or
even a piece of wool to hold you pins.
This way you can use your
creativity to make it your own.
I've provided a DMC color code, but
feel free to use whatever linen
and floss colors that makes
you happy .
Big hugs to you all and
thank you again.
Happy Stitching!

got to post a stitcher's finish,

worked by Lynn.
She stitched Dutch Tulip,
one of my freebie designs.
She's stitched this on 32ct
Sassy's Sugared Coffee
using DMC floss
using DMC floss
and trimmed it in chenille.
Apparently it was a real keeper
because it was supposed to be
a gift and she couldn't part with it.
I understand why. I so love it!
Just wonderful Lynn.
Thanks for letting me share it.
Lynn's lovely stitching blog is
If you get a chance pop over to

2 New Patterns and a Freebie
Hi Friends. I am so excited to show
you the two new pattern releases.
The first is called "Side by Side Sampler".
It's the 2nd collaboration with R.M. Martz
(aka Mimi) or as we like to call it
Worke #2.
This is an alphabet sampler with a twist.
It's stitched on two different color
Weeks Dye Works linens.
One side is Confederate Gray,
the other is Beige and it's sewn
together down the middle joining the two.
The next pattern is one that I have gotten many requests for. I wanted to get it all written up and formatted so everyone would have enough time to finish it for Halloween.
Thank you all for your patience, while I got this one together!
It's Oct. Jack!

This is a quick stitch and I had a lot of fun making it.
His eye are little black beads.
Both of these patterns will be available in my Etsy Shop later today or you may email me to make a purchase.

Now for the freebie. I have wanted to do this for awhile and since Halloween is such a favorite holiday of so many, I thought I'd make it a Halloween freebie.
I hope you will all enjoy stitching this little freebie.
Just my way of thanking all of my stitching and blogging friends.

*A Stitcher's Finish AND Some News*
It 's been a hot and tiring week and I'm so glad that the weekend is finally here.
Those babies at the daycare can sure wear

Well, a few more fabulous finishes have come in that I just had to post and show you.
First up is from my friend Sanae. She stitched the "Pins Wreath" freebie on some 32ct Birds of a Feather Nighingale linen and used GA Freedom, Maple Syrup and Grecian Gold. She has a beautiful blog Tussie Mussie and has so many stitched pieces that are just remarkable. You'll have to pop over and spend some time there.

Next is another finish sent in by Dora. She has done such a beautiful job of stitching and finishing "Star Spangled". She stitched this on 35ct Conferderate Gray.
It's a really great new color from WDW. I just got some in 30ct and it would work for
so many projects. It's just a beautiful color.
Dora said she loved making the strawberry fob and has made a few more to go with other finishes. Oh, I'm so glad. Stitching should be fun.
Thanks girls for sending in your photos. I do love to see all the creativity of my fellow stitchers.

FYI... There are some new designs on the horizon.
KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN.....
I hope to give you more info and possibly a sneak peak this weekend.

I charted this using DMC 830, 3857 and 3021, but feel free to use you own color preferences.
I also used mine and my husband's initials as an example. You could use yours and your hubby's or maybe even the initials of your parents or grandparents to personalize this.
Enjoy and happy stitching.

*Another FREEBIE* *
I know that Christmas is long over, but I really wanted to offer another freebie to all my wonderful followers and visitors. I enjoy reading all your great comments so much. It's just a little way of saying THANK YOU.

Woodland Deer
I also wanted to show you what my best bud, Ivonne, of The Crackling Crows, sent me in the mail.
I was admiring her big Christmas balls that she had displayed and I told her how much I loved them.
She ran to the store that she'd purchased them at and grabbed the last 3 for me, packed them up and mailed them off to me. Isn't she a sweetie? Here they are in the wooden bowl I used to display them. Thanks so much Ivonne. You are such a great friend and I am so thankful to have you in my life.

Well, I really hope you enjoy the freebie. I made a little ornament with it for Ivonne and she really liked it. Yeah!!! She posted some pics on her blog.
Happy Stitching,

Christmas Freebie
Hi Everyone. Thank you for the wonderful comments on yesterday's post. I just wanted to do something to say thank you to all my blogging friends, so here's the chart for my "Merry Christmas" pattern. It's a quick stitch for sure.
You may use whatever threads inspire you. As I mentioned, I used Victorian Motto Sampler
threads in the colors of Antique Red and Thyme, but there are so many great overdyed threads out there to use.
Please remember to always give the designer credit. I hope you enjoy stitching this and would love to see the finishes. There are so many talented and wonderful stitchers out there.
Smiles,
~Nan
