An Heirloom Sampler Club

I think it's finally ok to share my first Club piece, "Gather Friends" for the Heirloom Sampler Club presented by Tomorrow's Heirlooms.
I'm sure all the kits are long out and I won't be spoiling the surprise.

I am very pleased and also honored to be apart of this club.

Hereford Road Trip Part 2

And the road trip continues.....
Right smack dab next door to Homespun is a wonderful prim shop called The Cinnamon Stick. We all just had a blast....

Tons of prim goodies and the shop was just decorated so festive for the holidays.  We laughed and chatted up the morning with the owner, Judy...she is a delight.

I highly recommend a visiting Judy and her wonderful shop if you are ever in the area.

~*~*~*~

The road trip continues tomorrow in part 3, as we head down the road to the Zionsville Antique Mall.

Happy Day!

Hereford Road Trip Part 1

I wanted to share pics of the road trip my friends and I took this past weekend to a beautiful area, Hereford, Pennsylvania.  We had two shops in particular that we wanted to go to.  I've been to these shops before and have always loved my visits.

First was Homespun, where you can get all things related to punch needle, rug hooking and the finishing materials. This is where I purchased my very first punch needle supplies.

Lots and lots of Wool, Valdani threads, trims, fabric, patterns and booklets. Not to mention displays of antique needlework notions.  We spent lots of time looking around and oohing and aahing.....

We all had lots of fun chatting with Kay and getting her input.  She even took time to demonstrate how to hook with an Oxford Punch.

I came across this fun hooked rug and was happy to find out it was designed by Kirby Wunder of Wickedly Wunderful Stitches.  A friend and fellow member designer of our Facebook Stitching group, Prim Stitchers Society.

It was such a wonderuful and fun filled day.  We all went out for an amazing lunch at the Carriage House Restaurant.  Delish!

Stay tuned for part 2...

A Little Finish

I finally got around to finishing what I have happily named as my Seville Pinkeep.
It got that name because while I was antiquing with friends last month in Ohio, at Seville Antiques, I saw a pinkeep with big X's and eyelets...It inspired me to come home and create this.  It's backed with a wonderful velvet from Blackberry Primitives called Winterberry.
And is a sweet 4 1/2" square.

This is one of the finished pieces I'll be listing this week in my PHM
update.

Happy creating my friends.

Winter 1737

Look how sweet.....Tomorrow's Heirlooms Needlework stitched and framed my
 "Winter 1737" Design.
They stitched this on 25ct over one and are offering it as a kit, which includes the fabric and  beautiful frame for $20.  If you don't have the chart, they can add that in too.

I just love how this turned out and very touched that they stitched my design.
If you are interested in getting one of these, please contact Tomorrow's Heirlooms
at or call them at 630-790-1660 or email them at tomheirnews@gmail.com

Thought I'd share

My very dear and talented friend, Michelle Blanco of Yankee Girl Dry Goods
is doing a show this weekend.
The Ft. Meade OSC Holiday Bazaar at the Meade Middle School in Ft. Meade Maryland.

Our good friend Tee got a chance to visit with her yesterday and send me pics of her tables,
since I was unable to attend.  Just thought I'd share pics of all her handmade goodies.

Smiling Michelle and all her handmades.....

And this sweet snow angel is coming to our house.
She is so precious!

Wishing her much success again today and also wishing I could have been there.

Make it work

So, I thought I'd share my "make it work" moment.  I just got done stitching my
"Winter 1737" design and was on my way to attaching it to the fabric covered
box I planned for it.
It fit perfect EXCEPT...at the corners.  So, rather than
scrap the idea, I decided to make a modification and stitch a rounded corner
border.  Happy mistake I guess....2 down, 2 to go.

Back to work.....

Rainy Day = Stitching

All is quiet on this raining morn.....and I am enjoying a little stitch time.

Stitching my "Winter 1737" design on 40ct and I'm loving just how little it is.
A wee 4" square....and I have a special finish in mind.
This will be one of the items I'll be listing this month on Primitive Handmades Mercantile.

Happy day to you all:)
