* A Very Cool Sign *

Hi,  I just had to share a picture of my new sign. 

Isn't it just awesome?  Pam at Goldieloo Woodworks 

custom designed this for me.  I really wanted a primitive

sign to hang in my sewing room and I immediately
thought to ask my TDIPT sister, Pam.

 It's exactly what I wanted and I love

it so much.  My hubby hung it for me : )

It's hanging above my antique drying stand that

I keep some of my homespun on.  It's really hanging

from a sawtooth hanger on the back of the sign.  

The hubby thought it would look more prim hanging 
from a nail and wire, so he attached

a black wire and wrapped it around a

 cutoff nail head.  Just to make it look like

  it's hanging from the wire.  He's a tricky one.

* Schoolgirl Blossoms Pinkeep *

Here's the finished piece of my new cross stitch

pattern, Schoolgirl Blossoms.  I've stitched it 

into a pinkeep.  The fabric backing is the 

same as the journal it is sitting on. It's  called

Rouenneries by French General.

This is a new venture for me and so far 

has been a lot of fun.  I've created patterns

in the past to sew up, but printing and 

selling the pattern itself is very new and exciting.

I appreciate all the nudging and support 

from my family and friends and finally taken

that first BIG step.

* New Pattern *

I just got done designing this pattern last week and 

stitched it up on some 36 ct R&R linen that I antiqued.
Yes, it's a Threadwork Primitives original.

I think I will call it ~Schoolgirl Blossoms~

I just love alphabet samplers.  

I used a combination of DMC, WDW and GA 

threads on this and I'm going to back it in

some Rouenneries by French Gereral.

I purposely pulled the colors for the pattern out of

the fabric. I know, I know, I'm all about things

absolutely matching.  It's a perfection 

problem thingy : )

color pattern, instructions and supply list. 

I'll show all my stitcheries in their finished stage

as soon as I get them done.

* A New Banner *

I am starting to have a real collection of banners from

my best bud  and TDIPT sister, Ivonne.  This is my 

newest one to acquire.  I have it hung in front of

one of our quilts that hangs on the railing 

upstairs.  Isn't is a beauty?

New TDIPT Merchantile Offerings

Here are some of the pieces that I first showed you a few 

weeks back.  This one I finished into a little box.

I papered the outside with a drab brown floral

and painted and stained the inside.

This piece I decided to

finish as a ditty bag.  It's really not as bright

as it looks, but I just couldn't get the photo

to come out well. 

And this is probably my favorite.  I followed the 

pattern exactly as directed and finished this

into a needle book case.  It has a pocket,

a needle keep and a button keep. It's

really a nice size too.  Over 7" by 6".

All of these newly finished items were

last night.

Remember Me.....

It's a very raining day in Philly.

Perfect day to stitch the day away.

Forget house cleaning :)

Just finished stitching this up this morning.  

It's a brand new pattern by Stacy Nash from her

Love Letters booklet.  I knew at first sight that

I had to stitch this.  I just think the pattern

is quite precious.  I stitched it on 32 ct raw linen

and I still have to do my staining routine to it.

I'll back it in a reproduction fabric or maybe 

some very heavily stained muslin 

and finish it into a pillow stuffed with

sawdust.

Bluebird Assisi

It was beautiful in Philly today.  Temps in the

50's and the sun was shining.  With thoughts 

of Spring on my mind.  I  finished stitching 

this today.  I charted it from an antique

pincushion.  This is Assisi cross stitch. It is 

a method where "voiding" is referred to 

the background being filled, while the 

motifs themselves are left blank ... or void.

I'll stuff it with sawdust and finish

it into a pinkeep.  It looks so very

European to me.
