Coming Next Week

This is one of the many motifs from a larger stitched sampler piece that I will be releasing next week.  It's titled, "Wandering Heart" and is stitched on a beautiful linen by Dames of the Needle called Cherry Pit Brown in 32ct.
A BIG THANK YOU to Cindy Ruckman Cabrey for lovely stitching the model for me.

Happy weekend all, ~Nan

A Collaboration

I'm very happy to finally get to show you something I've been working on for months.
I'll be doing a series of reproduction candle board finishes.  3 in all.  I drew my inspiration for this series from antique butter molds.
This is a collaboration with Kelmscott Designs, who is distributing the candle boards, which can
be ordered from your favorite Needlework shop.

Here is the first design in the series.

"Leaping Stag" Candle Board

The design is stitched on 32ct Vtg. Exemplar by Lakeside Linens and trimmed with
Faded Colonial Blue pom pom by Dames of the Needle.  The floss is from The Gentle Art in the colors,  Apple Cider, Brethren Blue, Mountain Mist and Wood Trail.
The Candle Board is 5/5" across, the handle is 2.75" height and the full height is 8.25"

This is now available from my distributor and will also be in my Etsy Shop.

I have a few more designs close to releasing.  I can't wait to show you them very soon!

Never too late.....

to think about Spring and keep it in your heart.

I recently purchased some vintage French ticking fabrics.....swoon. I love how faded and soft they are.

That got my head spinning with a new design.....and with needle in hand some new flower buds are born.  Thinking this would be a sweet pin book to keep close by.

Today is we have bright and sunny skies and I am enjoying the peace of
stitching with needle and thread.

Working Away

My hands are always busy.....and I love that.

I've been in constant create mode since deciding to have a table in the merchant mall at the Prim Stitchers Retreat in Marietta, GA., March 31st - Apr. 3rd.
This is our second annual retreat and it is the most stitching fun ever.
Last year was a blast and I just had so much fun being surrounded by other stitchers and putting lots of faces to names.

So, every month I create of few items for the upcoming event.
Here's what my punchneedle heart turned into.

I used a dark gray wool for the ditty bag and added a heart in hand charm.
Lots of heart projects are being worked on....as I am also preparing for the
Primitive Handmades Merc. update.

Busy, busy, busy...but I wouldn't want it any other way.
Happy day to you all.

My Work Updated Year

I had a customer ask for the new year date for my pattern "My Work"....so I charted this for her and thought it would be good to share in case anyone happens to have it in their WIP pile and wants to use it.
Happy Stitching! ~Nan

Thinking Ahead

Now that the holidays are over, it's time to think ahead. My mind and thoughts have turned to sweet sayings and hearts and I always have lots of designs floating in my head.

❤ ❤ ❤

I have been busy in the studio, not only designing releases for the new year, but also
creating finished items for the January, Primitive Handmades Merc. update.

I have a fun finish in mind for the is one.  My sewing machine will be humming along most of the day.  Wishing you time for the things you love to do.
