Quaker Bird Pinwheel

Long time since my last post...I know...but I've been taking life a little slower these past few months and just enjoying life.
I'm happy to show you my first real release of the year.  And I'm really happy with how the model turned out.  I was inspired by the antique pinwheels the Quakers use to make and thought I'd try my hand and making one.

"QUAKER BIRD PINWHEEL

Stitched on 32ct Peep's Lost Sheep linen from my friend Ebeth of Dames of the Needle.
I used a combination of Classic Colorworks and DMC floss.  Detailed finishing instructions are provided.  The finished pinwheel is about 4" in diameter.

This new pattern is now available in my Etsy shop and will also soon be available at your local needlework shop.

Thanks for stopping by and as always, happy stitching my friends!

Hi Nan! What a precious pinwheel you have designed, stitched and put together! I was happy to see a new post, but glad to hear that you have been enjoying life.

These pinwheels (and pin balls), are a favorite of mine. Your design is lovely. I've missed hearing from you. Glad to know you are doing well. ;)

How gorgeous are your pinwheels! I love to knit and cross stitch. Lately also have had to take a bit of a stretch blogging break but back at it again. I think it comes with lifes ebbs and flows. I'm rumbling through my cross stitchig stash today because I hope to work on some soon.
Take care,
