A Stitcher's FInish

Hope you are all having a
wonderful weekend.
I am keeping busy, as always,
there is lots to do, but I am stitching too.
Mostly for a friend's birthday in
September, so there is nothing
that I can show right now.
I can show you the two finishes
that Dora (no blog) sent to me
last week.
I think they are both wonderful.
She said the pictures were taken
at Pickity Place in New Hampshire.

First is "A Bee's Bounty"
She stitched this using
32ct Apple Brown Bindy from R & R
and folded the lining fabric over the edge
to the front of the bag.  She said it was a nice touch of color for the top and a little bit of stability for holding
the wildflowers.  I love the way the fabric looks on the top.

Next she stitched "A Bee's Gathering".

This was stitched on a piece of 32ct mystery linen.
Dora, they are both really beautifully done. I love them and I just want to thank you for stitching them and for sharing your finishes with all of us.
Until next time.
Happy Stitching!

A Stitcher's Finish

I received quite a few photos in the
last few days from fellow stitchers :)
The needles are flying out there!
First, Judy of Attic Raggedys
and a fellow member of Samplermakers,
sent in another finish.   This time she's
stitched Down Virginia Way.

Doesn't this look fabulous framed.  I'm just loving it!
Judy used the called for threads except for having
to substitute WDW Cocoa for the CC Pollywog
because it was out of stock.   I think it looks great!

Carole, also a Samplermakers member,
sent a picture of her Happy 4th finish.
This was her first attempt at ruching with ribbon.
Looks like a pro to me.
It's beautiful and so patriotic.  I'll bet it's even better
in person.   Such a nice display too.
Carole was sweet enough to purchase the little
1776 cupcake pincushion I made and I'm so
glad to see she's enjoying it.  Thanks again
Carole.

And last but not least, Bonnie quickly stitched up
my new release, A Bee's Bounty.
Of course, Bonnie stitched this on 48ct.

How sweet.  She say's it's only about 3 x 6.
Good things come in small packages, right?
It's adorable Bonnie.

Thank you all for sharing your finishes with me.
It always makes me smile to see them and I
love showing them to my fellow bloggers.

I finished designing and charting the third and probably
final bee design this morning. This one may
be my favorite in the series.
Hope to get stitching on it soon, but need to
pick out some linen for the project first.

Have a wonderful week and thanks for
visiting.  Smiles, ~Nan

New Release and Giveaway Winner

Well, it has been one busy morning.
Packing up all the finished pieces that sold
in my Etsy Shop yesterday.  I'll be shipping
them today.  Thank you, friends.
Stitching on a newly designed
sampler that I just love♥ and drawing a name
for the winner of my Civil War Needlebook Kit.
Thank you to all who entered.
So without further adieu.
The winner is......
gloriahanaway
Congrats!!!!  I'll be contacting you shortly :)
I hope you'll enjoy stitching it.
~*~*~*~*~
I also promised to post the release of my
newest Bee design.  I know many of you
have emailed me about it and have been
very anxious to see it.  You are all so sweet!

It's called "A Bee's Bounty"

It still features that cute little bee, along with
some Blackeyed Susan and a honeycomb.

The finished bag is approx. 5 ¼“ wide by 11” high
and stitched on 32ct R & R Reproductions
Creme Brulee linen using WDW Schneckly
and Dirt Road.  GA Dried Thyme and
Espresso Bean.  A color conversion
for using all DMC threads is provided.
( I hope my friend Bonnie is smiling )
I used a piece of black twill tape for the stripe
on the bag to give it that French grain sack look.

Well, I sure hope you like what I've created and
you know I always love to hear your feedback :)
~*~*~*~*~
Hope to do a bit more stitching on the new
Sampler and then maybe show you a peek.
Been working almost no stop in the garden
these days because the weather has been so perfect.

Sincere thanks for stopping by my
humble blog and for all the smiles you provide me.
Thanks again to all who participated in my
little giveaway.  It was fun and you helped
boost my facebook page to over 100 more likes.
You guys are the best!
Smiles, ~Nan
