A Whole Lot Of Stitching Goin' On

But not much finishing, I hate to say.

Isn't that always the case with me?

Here's a bit of what I've been up to.

Clockwise....

The unfinished alphabet piece is a newly
designed pattern that I just finished
charting.
  Did I mention I just love designing :) ?

These all need to be stained to give
them more of an old antique look.
Way too bright and crisp for my
liking :)

The middle top one is from BBD's new book
Honeysuckle Manor, stitched with GA
Garden Gate.  I love this new color.

Next is part of the Quaker Six Mains
and the bottom one is a La D Da.
I think it's called Letters and Leaves,
and was a freebie, but I'm not sure.

Well, we are having heavy rain storms
today, so it was a  good day to stay
in and stitch.

Hope your day is filled with what you
love to do too.

Smiles,
~Nan

All of your pieces are gorgeous! I'm afraid I don't do as much finishing as I need to either ;)

Wow! you've been getting a LOT of stitching done! I've been trying, but not near as much as I'd like.

They look wonderful!

Love these! Do you usually stain your pieces after you're done stitching? Doesn't that make the colors of the floss bleed?
Sorry if these questions are silly but I guess I'm still learning.

Hey Peggy, I do stain first if I'm working with over dyed thread that will bleed. I usually test them to see if they will run. The BBD will probably not get stained, but the others are ok. Thanks for stopping by. I checked out your blog and your stitching is beautiful.

I am a "pile" stitcher too!!! I stitch away and then when I have enough in my little pile to pause, I will do some finishing....I love your new pieces with that tall tulip!!!! The others are special also...That La-D-Da alphabet is a winner no matter what colors you go with....right??? Have a great rest of your week and cant wait to see these finished off, when the time is right!! Faye

I love your new design and all your other finishes. I know they are all going to look fabulous once they are finished. You must show us when that happens.

Beautiful pieces! I have that La-D-Da pattern, too ~ need to pull it out and stitch it. I have a "Drawer of Shame" that I will display one day...I'm absolutely horrible about finishing.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm glad I'm not alone when it comes to being slow on the finishing end of things :)
