~Little Keepsake Boxes~

I just love making these little boxes. I stitched up a few for
my TDIPT Mercantile listings the other night and thought
I'd post a few pics of them here on my blog.
It's fun picking out a motif to stitch and then coordinating the
paper or fabric to cover the box in.

I like to decorate the undersides of the lids too.
I think it's a nice touch and a bit of a surprise.

Hope your day is filled with little surprises.
~Nan

Those boxes are hyst darling! Love the way you've decorated them too!

Maybe you can give a tutorial on how you make them, etc. I would love to try my hand at them.

Is there a pattern for the crow one?

Have a great wkend!

Nan, your finishing is lovely! How do you get the cross stitch fabric so smooth? The crow is my favorite...Happy Weekend!

In answer to some questions.
Tanya, the crow pattern is just a little something I came up with
and
Joy, I iron lightweight fusible web to the back of the samplers before making them into boxes, pinkeeps etc.
It helps keep them smooth and adds a little bit of weight to them.
