Thrilled to tell you........

......about a project that has been in the
works for almost a year now.
Back in March of last year I saw this
antique sampler on Pinterest,
of course......
Picture of Original Sampler from Pinterest
and I fell in love
with it.  Upon further research
I found that the piece was held
in a collection at the
Wisconsin Historical Society.
The sampler was from Ohio and
dated about 1800-1850.
I had my heart set on reproducing it.
I felt a kind of connection with it, as
I grew up in Ohio and have so many
fond memories of that time in my life.
So, with the help of my dear friend
and sometimes design partner,
Ruthe, we contacted the Society
and received permission to proceed.
It's finished and framed and we
believe it was worth the wait.
~+~+~+~
We're excited to show you
"Ohio Treasure"
an antique needlework adaptation.

We've tried to come as close as
possible to the original.
~+~+~+~
It's stitched on Weeks Dye Works
Havana linen using Gentle Art
and  Weeks Dye Works floss, but
a full DMC color conversion is
provided.
This is now available in my
Etsy Shop and is also on it's
way to my distributor.

Can't wait to hear what you think?
Happy Stitching!

  1. I will go visit your Etsy site as soon as I am finished with this comment. That is just lovely. I am excited. I posted today a picture of your Falling Snow Sampler I just finished. I have no idea how to send you a picture of it so you could use it for a finish. I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed that pattern.
I am working on the Valentine one you had from last year now. You do have such nice patterns.
I do love this one, so glad you got it charted.
    Thanks,
