A Bowl Full of Halloween

Well, it's been one heck of a week.  Hurricane Irene caused quite a scare and a few problems at the Lewis residence.  A tree blew down and took out the transformer on our street.  It sent some sort of electric spike into our house and we lost power for awhile and a few key items.  One of which being my wonderful and faithful Brother sewing machine.  Oh the tears... :(
I know it could be worse, but gosh I loved that machine.  I will need to purchase a new one soon so that I can get back to what I love.  I can still cross stitch, but there won't be any finishing going on.

On a happier note, I've got a picture of the pinkeeps I did finish before Irene fried my sewing machine.

I love how these came out and it has put a smile on my face today to see them all together in my big wooden dough bowl.  I hope to be listing these this month on TDIPT.

I hope that all of you came through the storm ok.  I know that many areas had lots of flooding.  It was quite an ordeal for all in the path of Irene.

    Love the finishes!...we lost power for 24 hours and had to discard many of the refrigerated items...also lost a tree in the backyard...but feel very fortunate as many are still without electricity an entire week later!...we too had a power spike, from a previous outage, and it fried a main component in our stove which had to be replaced...so sorry about your sewing machine!

    Oh my gosh....I love the Halloween! Now I need to get this one and the Halloween hat... I hope you are selling the designs too!

    So sorry about your sewing machine... hope you find a new one so we can enjoy some more finishing! :)

    Awesome finishes! I want all of them! :-) Irene messed up our plans for last weekend too, so this weekend we are relaxing and enjoying our home! Stitching, stitching and snacking! lol!

    I love them all but especially LOVE the Oct 31st one! Halloween is my birthday so that one would be perfect for me :)

    Oh what a terrible event that hurricane Irene ( the name means peace!!!) but it did not bring peace at all. I can imagine that it's a terrible loss that sewing machine. You are used to it. Of course there could be worse but it is a pity. Nevertheless your pincushions are beauties.
