~A Notforgotten Farm Finish~

My Needle's Work Ditty Bag

I thought I'd share my latest finish with you.  This is a
brand new pattern by Lori at Notforgotten Farm
and since I love stitching peacocks
it was on my MUST HAVE chart list.

I started to stitch this the day it arrived in my mailbox : )
and when finished I thought it would make a very prim
ditty bag.  I used some brown ticking that I had to trim
the top and some denim blue homespun plaid for a contrast on
the inside lining.  It's had a good walnut stain bath, so it
looks like it's been around a long time.

At the moment it's hanging on my sewing cupboard in my
studio and it puts a smile on my face.

Wishing all of you a day full of smiles!
~Nan

  2. What a cute little bag! I have always liked the way the little ditty bags looked. We used to volunteer at a local reenactment farm near here. It was a great place to put money, driver's license and the car keys......something they didn't need in the late 1700's ! LOL
