*Pins & Tulips Pinkeep*

It's been a bit of a rough week.  Our doggie was sick this week with, believe it or not,
a kind of doggie vertigo.  She is much better now, but what a scare she gave us.
I have been keeping her by my side on the sofa while I stitch.   This is what I finally got finished up today.  It's a Blackbird Design.  I really like it.  Helps me think of Spring : )

On the back I used a creamy colored silk matka that I stained a bit and added a wool heart to hold pins.  I also trimmed it in stained ric rac.

*Freebie Finish to Show You*

A blogging friend, tonko(Tomoko), from Japan, stitched my Valentine freebie and agreed to
allow me to post her picture to show you her beautiful finish.  She used the recommended floss colors and stitched it on R & R Reproductions Hand Dyed Linens (Light Espresso) 40ct.
It is just so pretty when I saw it, my first words were "Wow".
She has a beautiful blog full of finished stitched pieces that you will love to see.
If you have a moment click on the link to visit her blog, Mixed T.

A Surprise in the Mail

I arrived home from work the other day to find a package waiting for me.
I was surprised and delighted by the contents.
My dear blog friend Karen gifted me this awesome pinkeep with matching
handmade pins.   How perfect it is.  I love it so much.  It's a wonderful addition to
my Valentine's Day decor, but I know I will leave it out all year round.

Thank you dear Karen for such a wonderful surprise.  I am very touched and I am enjoying this sweet pinkeep very much.  I have it up in my sewing studio on top of an antique spool chest.  It fits in so well.   Again, many thanks.
Hope there is a happy surprise around the corner for all of you.
Smiles,
~Nan

I also used mine and my husband's initials as an example.  You could use yours and your hubby's or  maybe even the initials of your parents or grandparents to personalize this.
Enjoy and happy stitching.
