My ~ Rememeber Me ~ Finish

I so love how this turned out.  It's a wonderful
Stacy Nash Primitives Design. I knew from
the moment I saw the pattern that I had
to stitch it.  I posted the unfinished piece back
in March and never got around to showing
you the finished pillow.

It's stitched in the recommended DMC colors
and backed with stained silk matka in camel
just like Stacy used on hers.  I've added a
make do patch on the back for some added
interest.

As always, thanks for stopping by to take
a look at my stitching progress.
Wishing you all lots of productive days.
Happy stitching,
~Nan

Official Release of Happy 4th Pattern

Here is a new pattern I'm officially releasing
called "Happy 4th".  I say "officially" because,
I kind of tested it out first on a few friends when
I was thinking of starting to design.  So,  a few of
these patterns are out there already, but now
I'm ready to show it to the world :)

It's an exciting yet scary time when you start to
let the blog world see your designs and at the very
beginning ( months ago), I had my hesitations and
lots of butterflies in the pit of stomach.

I'm still a bit apprehensive, but I have such good
friends and family that cheer me on.  And so many
new friends that I've gotten to know through blogging.

This pattern along with the others is $9 with free
shipping.  You can email me at nanlewis@comcast.net
or purchase it through my Etsy shop.

Thank you to everyone for all your support and
kind words.
As always, Happy Stitching.

AHH ! The Days of Blue Skies and Flip Flops

The hubby and I spent most to this beautiful
weekend outside in the yard/gardens.

The picture above is of our Forest Pansy ~
Redbud Tree (Cercis canadensis).  It is in full bloom.

This tree was a birthday present from Bill
a few years ago, along with a red wheelbarrow.
Yes, that's the  kind of gal I am.  Nothing fancy
please.  Just something I can use to stitch, an
antique anything or something garden related
will do.  A simple gal at heart.

On another note....
I am on a design craze, so watch for some new
patterns soon.  I am loving this design bug that
has bitten me.  Can't wait to stitch up my
new creations.

Wishing you all days full of blue skies
and flip flops. (Slippas, as they are referred
to on Maui :)

Have a mai ka'i day

Crow Sampler Box

This was one of the most fun little patterns to stitch.
It's a freebie from primitivebettys.  She is so generous
and so creative.  I am a big fan of her designs.

Well, I stitched this on some 32 ct raw linen using
overdyed floss of Onyx and Palomino.  The box is
covered with reproduction fabric and I lined the lid with
a vintage love letter and painted the inside a dark brown.

I love making strawberry fobs, so I made one
to match the box.  It's made from some antiqued linen
and has a brown herringbone wool top.

It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend and I plan to
do some more stitching outside in the garden.
Just thinking of it makes me smile.
Wishing all of you a weekend full of smiles.

~My Next Pattern Release~

~WROUGHT BY ME~

As promised, here is my new cross stitch
design ~Wrought By Me~.   It was inspired,
of course, by an antique sampler.

I've stitched it on 32ct linen that I did some
antiquing to and used a combination of
WDW, GA and DMC thread.
If you are interested in this or my other
patterns,  you can email me or I have
started to list them in my Etsy shop.
Pattern is $9 with free ship.

Thank you so much for all your support
in this new exciting venture.

Happy Stitching!

Spring In My Step

This weekend was so beautiful here in Philadelphia.
I have been inspired lately, with all the trees
blooming, to stitch something with a
Spring theme.

I sat outside in the sunshine and did some
stitching and finished up this Spring box.
I love the Lily of the Valley that
grow next to our driveway.  This
box reminds me that they are on
there way.

This is a motif from a Blackbird Designs
Sampler, Quaker Garden.  I found
some pretty chenille yarn, in just
the right color, to put
around the top.

I hope you are having beautiful
spring weather where you are too.
Happy stitching.

P.S. I'm just about to release another
pattern :)  Also a in a flower theme.
Keep a look out, I will be posting pics of
it this week.
