Road Trip ~ Stitch Camp 2015

My friends and I returned home earlier this week from our trip to Country Sampler in Spring Green Wisconsin.  It was a long drive, but well worth it.

On the 1st day of camp we all met in the schoolroom where a yummy breakfast and our agenda for the week awaited.

The schoolroom is just a lovely place to work

and we all got busy on the project at hand.

Our class project was this velvet lined metal cash box and accessories to go with it.

Our teacher for the event was Stacy Nash.

Here are my box and heart scissor holder, along with the cute name badge necklace we all got.

Got these accomplished the first day. We were a very focused table...lol
Some of my table mates.  Pat and Barbara.

My friends and I had to get a pic with Patti from http://windingvine.blogspot.com/
We have been online friends for years, so It was really nice to finally meet her in person.

Theresa(Tee), Patti, Me and Pat

It was such a treat to be able to share this event with two of my favorite buddies Pat and Tee and it was great fun to meeting everyone there.  Lots of new friendships were formed!

Here are some pics of our classmates.

Jeanne and the shop gals just made everything so special every day! Thank you!
Pat and I stayed upstairs in the apt. and we had such a great time with our roomies, Pam, Jean, Carol and Sarah.  Thanks for such a wonderful welcome, your friendship, and the wine, stitching and chatting.
A special thank you to Pam for having coffee ready every morning.....I owe you gf.

On to Fall

Looks like it's time to get stitching Hallowe'en and Fall......designs are done, now to get my needle workin'.
I've picked a few great colors and a gorgeous piece of Peep's Lost Sheep linen by Dames of the Needle.  The perfect background for all things Halloweenie:)

And in the garden a pumpkin has seeded itself from last years pumpkin display. The squirrels made a fine mess of them and I guess some of the seed overwintered and sprouted.   I'm excited! I've never grown pumpkins before....a first.

Hope everyone enjoys the long holiday weekend ahead.  Happy 4th, have fun and stay safe!

New Prim Sisters Project

For all of you who are in the Prim Sister's Club with me, hosted by Country Sampler,
here is my latest project for the members this year.   Jeanne and I talked and we decided to make this one a bit more interesting.
So, I've created a combo cross stitch and wool design.
"Friendship Flower Stitcher's Mat" .
It's stitched on Weeks Dye Works Putty linen in overdyed thread and wool from Blackberry Primitives and comes with a bunch of beautiful finishing fabrics.

Here is the model on display at Country Sampler.

This was so much fun to make and put together.....Goodness, I'm so excited for the members to get this kit and I hope they will be too.  These will be shipping to the members soon!
Happy stitching and Happy Summer my friends!

Just Out....

So happy to show you my new release.  I loved stitching this design and worked as fast as I could to get this done and available before the the 4th of July holiday.
So here is "Where Liberty Dwells" Sampler Mat
This wonderful quote is attributed to Ben Franklin in 1783.

It's stitched on 32ct Peep's Lost Sheep linen by Dames of the Needle
using The Gentle Art Floss in Uniform Blue, Ruby Slipper, Burlap and Carriage Black and DMC 3033.  The finished mat size is 9 1/2"W by 8 1/2"H.

This is now available at your needlework shop and also through my Etsy Shop.
Thanks for stopping by and happy weekend to you all.

Two More!

Happy Friday my friends.  I'm so pleased to show you my other two new releases.
These are both stitched on a wonderful new linen line by my friend Elizabeth Talledo of Dames of the Needle aka The Pom Pom Girl.

The Joy of My Heart has the stitcher in mind.  The quote speaks to me and most stitchers.
"The Joy of my heart is the work of my hands"

This was originally designed to be the last 2014 Ladies Prim Society piece, but never made it into the club.  I got an email from the shop to say they would not need this design and hopefully I could use it as a regular release.  Ah yeah...LOL.  And this way it's available to all.

Joy of My Heart Bag

Next is a stitcher's wallet and that is always a handy thing to have close.  I love peacocks and I know I'm not alone:)

Spring Tail Feathers

Hope you like what I've designed and will have many happy hours stitching.

I will be doing just that this weekend.  Heading down to Maryland for a get together of stitch friends.   Along with stitching there's always lots of laughter and this time a BBQ!
Have a great weekend my friends.
