Ahhhh Spring.....

Well, today was just
a beautiful day!
I got quite a bit of stitching
done, but also took some
time to sit outside on our
deck in the sunshine.
Boy, did it feel nice.
My friend Nancy, recently
reminded me to stop and
smell the flowers, so I took
her advice.
The Rhodie is in bloom, the
Forest Pansy tree and Sand Cherries
have buds and the Lilacs are dressed in
green.  Can't wait for them
to flower too.

I finished my ditty pouch.
This was made using my Autumn
Majesty design that is available
in my Etsy shop or at your LNS.
I really love how this turned out.
This has found a home right here in
our house,
but I hope to start making
another one in a few days
to add to my handmades section.
A very good evening to all
and happy stitching.

Coming Next Week...

Good day all and what a beautiful
one it is.  I had a little time
this morning, so I thought I'd
do a bit of blogging and show you
the new finished design.  I decided
to add a little heart fob to go along
with the pinkeep.  It's really sweet.

  "Down Virginia Way"
Dear Ivonne, friends like you are special and few.

This design is named and dedicated
to my dear friend Ivonne, of
She is visiting her Mom
in Germany at the moment
and I'm not sure if she will
see this post or not, but I hope
when she returns home, to VA.
of course, she will be happy and
surprised.
Ivonne has always been such an
encouraging and supportive
friend and I thought this a nice
way to show my thanks.

In other news, I'm working on
another bee design :).  Sharon, from
Crescent Colours is sending me
some of her beautiful floss to use
in the next design and I'm quite
excited about this one too.
I'll keep you posted on the
progress.
Until next week, have a wonderful
weekend, full of happy stitches!

New Design ~ A Bee's Blessing

Good morning all !
I am so excited to finally show
you the new design I've had in the
works since probably November and
I've been dreaming of Spring and
the flowers and bees for quite
awhile now.
I am working on a few more
but I just didn't want to wait
any longer and since it's all
good to go, the anticipation
was just too much :)

 "A BEE'S BLESSING"

 The larger box was stitched
on 32ct R & R French Vanilla
and the smaller box was stitched
on 40ct R & R Mink using
WDW Shneckley and GA
Burlap and Pecan Pie.
(a DMC conversion list is
also provided)
Complete instructions on how to
cover the boxes are included with
the design.
One is trimmed in stained chenille
and the other has tiny x's stitched
around the top.
I hope to add this chart to my
Etsy shop later on today or you may
email me at

I hope you're as excited about this
this design, as I am.   I really enjoyed
stitching this one.  Can you tell?
As always, thank you so much for
visiting my humble blog and for
all your wonderful comments.
Happy day and happy stitching!

Just a little more stitchin'

Well, the sun is shining, the birds
are singing and I've done a bit
more stitching.
 I've finished stitching the border
on my new little design.  This
will definitely become a pinkeep.
I just love the colors in this.
I used Gentle Art Otter Creek and
it's at one of my most favorite blues.

The other is the motif from my
Autumn Majesty design.  I changed
the colors a bit, so they'd show up
on this Lakeside Copper linen.
This piece is telling me it wants
to be a ditty bag ; )

I have all the windows open in
my studio and I'll work on
finishing these for awhile and then
it's off to do some errands and get
out into this beautiful day.

I hope you have beautiful weather
where you are and can enjoy
some fresh air too.
Smiles, ~Nan

Handmade Goods for Sale

Happy Sunday all.
As promised I have added
some newly finished handmades
to the
of my blog, located under my
blog header picture.
Or you may use the link above.
This is just one the pieces I just
finished making.
 x  x
I have so much fun creating
new items.  I use to get to do
this every month when I was
part of TDIPT.
I just couldn't juggle it all anymore
and had to leave the group awhile ago,
but I always missed making
pieces for sale.  It really brings me
a lot of joy.  Now that I'm
designing full time and don't have
another job to go to every day, I'm
hoping I'll be able to create a few
pieces every month or so.
I'll post to let you know when
new things are added to the
Handmades section

Hope you like what I've stitched
and would love to hear what you think :)
 Enjoy this beautiful day!
It's going to be a
gorgeous week here in Philly.
I want to get out into the gardens
for some Spring cleanup.
 Smiles, Nan
