More of What I've Been Up To

Yep, that's right, more stitching.
Just finished this up this morning.
This is a custom order for a
wonderful customer of mine and
I sure hope she likes it.

This is a Primitive Betty's design
that she offered as a freebie awhile ago
and it's one of my favorites to stitch.
This is done on 32ct R&R Irish Cream
linen using Belle Soie Chocolat silk thread.
Silk is so wonderful to stitch with.  It just
glides.
Hopefully I'll have more to show you
soon as I am working on something new.
Have a great night!

Update....
Here's another pic with the matching
acorn I made for her.  It was a surprise so
I didn't want to show it in the orig. post.

She loves it and that makes me
very happy!

What I've been up to ~ Warning, Picture Heavy

Hi Everyone.  I hope you
are enjoying this very hot Sunday.
Just thought I'd show you some
of what I've been up to lately.

Had a little stitching time for
myself.  I'm still in a patriotic
mood, so I decided to stitch up
and finish this Americana
ditty bag.  The house is still
decorated for the 4th, so I hung it
right up.
* * * * * *
Thought I'd also show you some pics
of the garden.  I spent a few weekends
earlier in the summer planting and the
garden is starting to show off.
I cut some of the hydrangea blooms,
since there were so many and put them
in my antique sap bucket.  It's
painted the sweetest robin's egg blue.

I do hope you enjoyed your visit and
thank you so much for stopping by.
Smiles,
~Nan

New Release ~ A Bit of a Redux

I have wanted to update my
Centennial Wreath Chart for awhile now
and decided it was time for a redux on it.
It now has that sampler feel to it that I
love, with alphabets and numbers.
I've changed the colors a bit too
from the original red to a denim blue.
Don't you just love blue and brown
together?
So without further ado, here is
"Centennial Sampler"
Stitched on 32ct R&R Ligonier Latte linen
using WDW and GA flosses.
The stitch count is 125 x158.

I thought it was a good time to offer the new
 version since yesterday was the
Country's birthday.
I hope you like the revisions.
This sampler has now become one
of my favorites.
It's available in my Etsy Shop
or you may email me at

Enjoy your day!
Happy Stitching too!

A New Addition

Hi all !
It's probably not what you're thinking :D

I have a new sign to add to my collection.
My dear friend and TDIPT sister, Pam
of GoldieLoo Woodworks
has done it again.
She has hand made this wonderful
sign for me.
I love it so much and it is so perfectly
primitive.
 She also makes fabulous gameboards,
of which I have a few of those too.
So, check out her blog and her
Etsy Shop if you get a chance.
* ~ *~ *
I have a new pattern that I will be
releasing this week.  It's actually
a redux on my Centennial
Wreath Design.  I've turned it
into a sampler, changed the
colors a bit and framed it.
I really love how it looks now
and can't wait to show you.
* * * *
Until then, enjoy your day
and as my blog friend Julie
has reminded us today...
May all of us remember to take that much
needed REST,
Between TWO DEEP BREATHS!!
That's my plan for the rest of
today!
Happy Stitching!

A Stitcher's Finish

Good evening all !
I have a wonderful finish to show you that
was sent to my by my new friend, Paula of
She has stitched up Bloom Sampler
and wanted it to be a square pillow.
How adorable.  And don't you love her
star scissors.  I know there are many of you
who are scissor crazy like me.  You can never
have too many. Right?
Well Paula, this turned out lovely and I'm
so glad you enjoyed stitching it.
Thank you for sharing your finish.
Until next time, Happy Stitching.

New Pattern!

Gosh, I'm so happy to finally share this new
release with you.  It's been a long time coming,
but here it is at last, "Cottage Charm Sampler".
As you may know, I just love
stitching the alphabet, so as you can
see it includes one of them :)
I am in love with these flowers too.  They
remind me of lolipops, don't you think?
The model has been stitched on 32 ct Zweigart
Vintage Heritage Linen using a combination
of WDW, GA, DMC and the red is a
Victorian Motto Sampler Thread
called Nan's Red.  Made especially for
me by Nancy.  It's a very cool red if I
do say so myself :)
* * * *
In other news....I'm proud to say I just
signed with Hoffman Dist. Co.
so my patterns should now be available
at your local needlework shop.
I'm working on 2 other samplers that
I'm very excited about and hope to
have them available to you soon.

Thank you for taking time to visit with me
and as always, Happy Stitching!

A Stitcher's Finish

Well, better late than never : ) Right?

Anne sent me this picture a few weeks ago
and I've been meaning to get this
wonderful finish posted to my blog.
She has stitched my freebie, Dutch Tulip
and made it into a lovey pin pillow for her
friend, Melissa.  Lucky Melissa!

It is truly wonderful.  Thank you Anne for stitching
this design.  I love the way it turned out and I'm
sure your friend did too.
* * * *
I'm sorry I've been so absent from posting lately,
but I have been working hard in the garden
and doing all the other things that need
to get done around our house.
 AND STITCHING TOO!
There is always time for that : )
* * * *
I have my new release all framed and
ready to go.  I think it turned out lovely
and I hope to show you it in a few
days, so stay tuned.
Till then, have a wonderful night.
