The Plan

Yes, I do have one....a plan that is.... If you were following along with me last week on Instagram, my new favorite pastime, by the way :) or on facebook, then you know my stitching hands have been pretty busy.  I took last week to stitch as many pieces as I could in hopes to do all the finishing on them this week.  AND then list them for sale in my Etsy Shop.
Some of these are parts of previous designs and some are new.  I have all different finishes planned.....a pinkeep, huswife, needleroll, needlebook and a box.
I'm ready and eager to get started first thing tomorrow and I'll be back to show you the results.

I know many of you are anxious to see the first Ladies Prim Society release.  Everything was shipped and has made it safely to Dyeing to Stitch.  They did get quite a lot of snow during this last storm, and were closed a few days, so please be patient in regards to the release while they get the kits prepped.  There are hundreds of members and it's a real job putting it all together.  My hat is off to Ann, Pat and the shop girls who work so hard to make this club perfect.

Have a wonderful week...if you're getting more snow, like I think we'll be getting, please be careful and stay safe....
Happy Stitching,
~Nan

Time for a Sneak Peek

It's almost time for the first Ladies Prim Society release of the year.  Yes, the Ladies Prim Society will continue again in 2014.  There's a total of 5 kitted designs for the year from myself and Blackbird Designs. The club is hosted by Dyeing to Stitch in Virginia and they are now accepting a limited number of NEW registrations, so it's not too late to join!  For more information or to sign up, visit www.dyeing2stitch.com
I love being a part of this club and I'm very excited about designing for it again this year.  I really enjoy creating pieces that are just a little different and experimenting with finishes that aren't too complicated.
Here's a little peek at what I've created for the LPS member's first kit.
The kit will include all the supplies needed to make each project.
Hope you like this little peek:)
Have a great stitching week and l'll be back soon to show you the full reveal.
Smiles, ~Nan

Beggar's Christmas Release

Happy Weekend to you all....
I've tried to work very quickly to get this new release completed and I'm please to show you the finish of "Beggar's Christmas".
Stitch count is 77 H by 106 W.
The model was stitched on 35ct Chamomile Tea by R and R Reproductions.
Absolutely love this new color linen!
The thread colors that were used are Gentle Art in Country Redwood and Heirloom Gold
and Weeks Dye Works in Onyx and Moss.
Trimmed with BeeSkep baby chenille by R and R Reproductions.

I've already begun shipping to shops and my distributors should have this later next week.
Also added it to my Etsy Shop.

This will be my last release for the year.  I've already begun to work on my first design for the Ladies Prim Society, due out in late January.  As I mentioned, this is a wonderful club hosted by Dyeing to Stitch and they have decided to open the club to new members for 2014.  Please visit their website
for more information about the club.
As always, thank you so much for taking the time to visit and for your continued support of my needlework designs.   I am always so touched by your emails and comments.

Ladies Prim Society Reveal

I know there's been a bit of suspense about the last Ladies Prim Society piece.
It's finally completed and I'm ready to show you the reveal.  I am so hoping all the members will be pleased with the finale piece.  It's just been such a fun year being apart of this club and I'm happy to say I will be continuing in it again next year.

I'm also excited to tell you that Dyeing to Stitch has decided to open up enrollment for new members in 2014.  So, if you missed out getting in the club this year, you'll now have an opportunity to join.

The girls at Dyeing to Stitch hope to have this new kit mailed to the members by Thanksgiving.
As always, I'll be sending the model to them for display in the shop.

I designed and stitched this sweet Autumn pinkeep and thought maybe some of you would like to make one too.  So, I'm putting together a few kits.

The kit includes:
32ct R & R Irish Creme linen
4 skeins of DMC floss
R & R Cocoa ric rac
Tan plaid shirting fabric
Army blanket wool
Brass acorn charm

Color cross-stitch graph
Leaf template
& complete finishing instructions

Having Fun Designing

That's right.  I have so much fun designing!
Playing with linen and floss and let's
not forget about trims.
TRIMS, TRIMS, TRIMS!

             My wonderful friend Ann, of
sent me a goodie bag last week full of their trims.
I know... I know...what a friend!
They have some really fab colors and I knew I'd
want to use one of them on the
new design I'm stitching.
So, here's a sneak peek at the new design and
 just some of the trims.
It will be ready for the August TNNA  Show.
I designed it for my favorite of all holidays,
HALLOWEEN : )
I have a few more days of stitching on it, but I
like to plan ahead and get things out to see
what might work.  I'm loving the Cinnamon
baby chenille, so that may be the trim for
this piece.
 It's been so hot here,
just like so many other areas, but I am focusing on Fall and ideas are just flowing in my head.  I think I'll have a lot of things to stitch in the next few weeks.
I hope you like the peak at my new little design.
Stay Cool and Happy  Stitching!

Worth the Wait?

Thank you all for your patience while waiting for
this new release and 3rd design in the Bee Series.
It's been one of those weeks, but now it's time
to show you what my busy needle has done.
Here is a sweet little pin roll called
"A Bee's Gathering".
This model was stitched on 32ct R & R Reproductions
Creme Brulee linen using Weeks and
Gentle Art floss, but a DMC conversion
has also been provided.
This is such a handy thing to have.
I just love using mine.

Here is my collage of the Series.

Now the other surprise.
The new sampler design is all framed and is
so beautiful.  Don't you think?
Meet "Ann's Sampler"

I designed this sampler especially for my dear friend
Ann Robbins of Dyeing to Stitch
and R & R Reproductions.
Just like Ann, it makes me smile.  I'm so
happy that we are friends.
This is stitched on 32ct Abecedarian Blend
with Weeks and Gentle Art floss.  A DMC
conversion has been provided for this design also.
I hope you like the new designs.  They will be
available at your local needlework shop soon
and I have added them to my Etsy Shop.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy
summer to stop by and visit.
Many happy stitches,
~Nan

Victory Garden Pinkeep

I'm so pleased to show you the full reveal of the next
"Victory  Garden" pinkeep

It's stitched on 2 different color R&R linens and

can personalize it with the letter of your choice.

I also made one for the girls of Dyeing to Stitch
which will be on display at their shop in case
you get a chance to visit them in Va. Beach.
I really need to get back down there for some

On a personal note, yesterday was
my DH birthday.
He treated himself to a morning
ride on his Harley and I just had to get
some shots of my handsome guy.
Happy Birthday sweetheart.
Life is so easy knowing my whole world
fits inside of your arms.
Love you more than I have words.

Another Stitcher's Finish

Boy, I just love when these roll in......
It's always so much fun for me to see a
design I've created, stitched by a fellow stitcher
and how creative you all can be with your finishing.
Here is a finish by Annie.  She stitched
the Dutch Tulip freebie and created a
luggage tag.  What a fun idea!
She stitched this with
DMC colors...... 356, 407, 433, 758.
I love that Annie changed the colors
to give it her own creative touch.  It's just really super.
I'd like a whole set of these for traveling : )
~*~*~*~*~
Annie and I must have been in the same
mindset.  I recently finished my Dutch
Tulip piece to cover a book.
Doing a covered book was a first for me.
I want to thank my dear friend Mimi for
helping me with this finish
during our stitching play date.
I am so pleased with the way it turned out.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Gearing up for the next Ladies Prim Society
release. Hosted by Dyeing to Stitch.
Hope to have a sneak peek for you
by weeks end.
I'm really excited about this one.
Can't wait!

Hope your day is filled with happy stitches!

♥....How Cool....♥

Just wanted to share this cool find with you.
It's a needlework organizer/clipboard
from Needlework Press.
It's about 13" by 9" and 1" deep.
It has a clipboard lid, but the lid slides
open for storage, for things like your
chart, floss, scissors, etc.
Like I said, How Cool !
I just called to purchase one from
Dyeing to Stitch, after seeing it on
their blog.
They just got them into the shop again
after selling out after Nashville Market.
I think this is going to come in so handy
and can't wait to get mine and
start using it.  Plus, it's so
pretty and as you may have guessed
I love anything with an alphabet
on it :)
~*~*~*~*~*~
I played around a little bit this
week with my Civil War Needlebook design.
I stitched it again, but this time
I finished it by attaching it
to a blue ticking pillow I stuffed
with wood shavings.
I really like it and it's just another
way to get creative with the pattern.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Happy Memorial Day!
May it be spent remembering
all the men and women who
served so bravely for
this great country of ours.
♥♥♥♥
Thanks for stopping by.
I wish you all a happy and
very safe holiday weekend.

A New Start

Hi all!  I do love to show you what I'm
working on.....
I designed a mini sampler a week or
so ago and finally have it
tweaked to where I want it.
I happily started on it this morning.
Like I said it will be small.....
around 6" x 7".
I have all my floss picked, but no
guarantees.  One or more may
change, thats usually what happens,
but we'll see.
This linen is so luscious.
It's 32ct Apple Brown Biddy
by R&R.
I know I probably sound like
a broken record, but I just
Loooooove they're linen.
I did stain it with a strong coffee
mix cause I really want this one to
look old.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I want to thank you all
so much for all the
Civil War Needlebook kit orders.
I am so thrilled with the response and
really appreciate all of you and the
support you have shown.
I can't wait to see some of your
finishes.
The first round has been mailed and
more will go out tomorrow.
  Remember, Dyeing to Stich
has them too and
will be getting in some more this week.
If you'd like to get one through
them, just give them a call.
I'll keep you posted on my
progress of this new sampler.
Thanks for stopping by and
happy stitching!
